Energy Intensive Industries Scheme
The government has introduced a support scheme that helps the UK’s Energy Intensive Industries compete with companies in countries with lower energy costs.
Energy Intensive Industries include sectors such as the steel, chemicals, engineering and brick making industries where energy usage makes up a significant part of production costs.
Currently EIIs can claim a possible exemption of up to 85% of the Contracts for Difference (CfD) cost, Renewables Obligation and Feed-in Tariff (FIT).
If applicable, this could be a huge cash flow boost for any business, as much as 25% of the total electricity spend in some cases.
Our in-house EII expert placed the first ever claim in the UK, and has successfully completed more applications than any other energy consultancy or supplier in the country.
